About Me

My name is Jodie and I am the owner of Macaulay Accountancy.  I was born and brought up in Inverness and worked in national accounting firms for 10 years before setting up Macaulay Accountancy in 2023.  I set up Macaulay Accountancy to support businesses and individuals by providing a professional and reliable service.  I want to help you by taking the compliance burden away to leave you free to concentrate on running your business.  I also think it is important to provide clients with pro-active advice to help them reach their goals and enable tax planning opportunities.

I specialise in the delivery of accounting and taxation services across a variety of sectors with significant experience in rural, construction and hospitality and leisure businesses.  I assist clients from business start-up through to succession and sale and have advised on business structure, VAT registration and cloud accounting solutions. 

I am a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring new places with my pet Labrador Bailey and going out for meals with my family.
